Adam was one of the first Rhode Islanders to earn a peer wellness coach license when the program was launched in 2012. As a peer support specialist, Adam can easily relate to clients, because he was once in their position.
“Looking back on my own recovery, I know I wanted to help others,” Adam said.
Adam describes his relationship with clients as mutually supportive, saying that he relies on them as much as they rely on him. “It’s a partnership, and it’s really important that we work together.”
In his free time Adam enjoys fishing and skiing. He has traveled all over North America to ski, and he is hoping to take a trip to Europe this winter.
