James began his medical career as an intensive care unit nurse and always had a strong connection to behavioral health. His approach to care is always focused on listening to clients and treating them as he would want a loved one or friend treated. “Critical care and behavioral health frequently overlap, and this exposure to patients helped me transition into the role I enjoy.
What he enjoys most about the job is getting to see his clients get better. “Often times a co-worker or family member will say, ‘I really noticed a difference; she’s smiling a lot more, is not as angry, doing well at work, etc.’ Hearing those little updates is one of the most enjoyable things about my job.”
James has an interest in golf, sports, reading and exercise, all of which are secondary to spending time with family.
